«As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.» Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) American Author
I used to have a quote of Thoreau in one of my agenda few years ago and I was writting it again and again every september, in every other school agenda I had. It was a quote about living the present. I was looking for that quote this morning and found this one and picked it instead. I selected this one because perseverance it’s not one of my main quality but I’m aiming to work on it.
The painting I choosed to illustrate my quote is one from Paul Serusier and it’s call the Talisman (1888). It is one of the first piece of art I was interested in when I did my studying in Art History. In person, the painting is much smaller than I thought but so powerfull. It is one of the pioneer abstract painting.
